Depths of Winter

Winter weather arrived last night in a big way, with almost a foot of snow. Since I was up early (not of my choosing ordinarily) I volunteered to sweep the snow of the car for my husband to go to work. That gave me my work-out for the day. I shovelled heaps of snow while the wind blew it around but he managed to get out. When he called from work to let me know that he arrived safely, he described the roads as "just awful".

By mid-morning it had started to rain. Here is a photo of the car after the rain had packed down the snow a little.
